Mexico's largest mobile phone carrier to use GE Security's alarm monitoring panel and Numerex's Machine-to-Machine (M2M) technology under Telcel brand.
GE announced recently that it has signed a definitive agreement with SAFRAN for SAFRAN to acquire 81 percent of GE Security’s Homeland Protection business for $580 million. Upon close, GE will own 19 percent and SAFRAN will have majority interest with 81 percent. The transaction has been approved by the Boards of both companies, and will be subject to customary regulatory approvals.
