Multiple organizations, including the department of transportation, fire department, police department, and hazmat teams will all need to respond to the emergency to prevent the fire and hazardous materials from spreading, and additional casualties from resulting.

The second Security 5K/Mission 500 Charity Run in Las Vegas on the second day of ISC West raised more than $80,000 to benefit Mission 500, a charitable organization engaging security professionals to sponsor children in need through the World Vision organization.

Using funding from public bond initiatives, a handful of schools in the Plano Independent School District in Collin County, Texas, are renovated every few years. For the most recent round of renovations, which began in Summer 2009, the district upgraded its analog CCTV systems with JVC VR-N1600U 16-channel network video recorders and a variety of JVC V.Networks IP-based cameras.
