Safe Zone CM is housed in a wall-mountable steel cabinet locked to prevent unauthorized access, but easily opened by designated personnel. D-Link® announced it has expanded its DGS-1100 Series Smart Managed line of cost-effective Gigabit Ethernet switches with two new PoE models – the 10-port DGS-1100-10MP and the 26-port DGS-1100-26MP. Both models offer all the same features found in other DGS-1100 Series switches, including essential Layer 2 switching options, energy savings, and easy management. The AlarmNet 360 Interactive Dashboard provides customer information like custom reports on the communication technology, products and service subscriptions for their customers.
ComNet
ComNet announced the RLGE2FE16R. It is the company’s first Ethernet switch/router that is designed specifically for use in electrical utility substations and switchyards, heavy manufacturing facilities, and as railway track-side electronic equipment. Fully compliant with IEC6185-3 and IEEE1613 class 2, it is for use where high levels of electromagnetic interference are routinely encountered. This breakthrough for the security industry will allow you to run a Cat 5, 4-pair cable up to 5000’ and connect two (2) 30 Watt PoE devices at the end without the need for additional power. The expected symmetrical bandwidth is 13Mb/s. Greater bandwidth and longer distances can also be reached with thicker gauge wire and bonding additional twisted pairs.
