GE Security Announces New Product Categories

GE Security Inc., a business of GE Enterprise Solutions, recently announced a new strategy for developing and delivering video products to specific market segments helping enhance customer satisfaction.

Under the new brand names TruVision Line and UltraView Series, these GE Security video surveillance products will target value-oriented and high performance security requirements.

In response to the changing market and economy, GE Security is committed to help customers have access to the right products regardless of project complexity. By providing two distinct lines of security solutions it is making it easier for customers to identify their specific needs and simplify the selection process.

“Today, more than ever, our customers need flexibility in their surveillance systems,” said Tom Cashman, general manager of video product management for GE Security. “To better meet customer needs, GE Security developed video solutions that would provide the industry with the widest range of price and performance options. By offering the TruVision and UltraView lines of products, customers have access to a portfolio of quality GE Security products regardless of budget and security needs.”

The TruVision Line, available immediatly, delivers cost-effective security solutions ideal for stand-alone or basic integrated installations. The products encompass cameras, monitors and digital video recorders. GE Security recently introduced several products to this line including six IR camera models ranging from standard-resolution to high-resolution. Additional products that are available through the TruVision Line include a compact 16x zoom PTZ camera and LCD monitors.

In the coming months the UltraView Series, representing the high-performance segment, will also be available to customers. This line will include new IP cameras, EVRs, storage servers, encoders and monitors as well as existing products such as the Legend PTZ dome camera and the enterprise video recorder, Discovery 2415.
