Research: ioimage Has Largest Market Share Of Intelligent Video Surveillance Devices

ioimage has recently been recognized for the third time running by IMS Research as the leading provider of intelligent video surveillance devices for security and business applications, with a 13.1 percent market share in 2008.

IMS Research is a leading independent supplier of market research to the electronics industry. Its latest report, titled “The World Market for CCTV and Video Surveillance Equipment -- 2009 Edition”, published in August, covers the Video Content Analysis market during 2008 and provides a comprehensive breakdown of the video content analysis market including statistical data by supplier, product type and geographic region up to 2014.

Despite the impact of the economic recession, IMS forecasts a growth of three percent in the world market for video surveillance equipment in 2009. According to the report, a recovery is expected in late 2010, driven by improving economies, the transition to IP and emerging markets.

“ioimage intelligent devices have proven highly reliable over long periods of time while ensuring an extremely low false alarm rate,” said Zeev Farkash, ioimage CEO. “These traits account for ioimage’s continued leadership position in the growing video analytics. Our success is also due to our commitment to interoperability and to broadening the reach of video analytics, as evidenced by our strong business and technology partnerships.”
