Fluidmesh Networks, VideoIQ Announce Technology Partnership

Fluidmesh Networks, a provider wireless IP backhauling systems on the sub-6.0 GHz range, and VideoIQ have entered into a technology partnership to further extend their joint solution to customers.

VideoIQ cameras and encoders include up to half a terabyte of intelligent, onboard network video recorder storage, eliminating the need to stream video to a centralized server for recording -- reducing deployment costs, system complexity, infrastructure, time and resources.

When combined with Fluidmesh’s wireless technology, joint Fluidmesh and VideoIQ customers can deploy a greater number of cameras per node than competitive solutions, allowing customers to extend their wireless deployments while reducing overall costs.

In addition, Fluidmesh’s innovative FluidThrottle technology allows users to limit the total cost of the wireless network with the 1100 by paying only for the amount of bandwidth required. This option gives joint Fluidmesh and VideoIQ customers the a cost-effective and flexible wireless solution.

“The combination of VideoIQ’s on-board storage with the wireless technology of Fluidmesh provides a flexible and comprehensive security system superior to that of traditional wired solutions," said Mark Gally, vice president of VideoIQ. “Together, we can serve a broader customer base by providing a cost-effective security solution that allows customers to deploy a greater number of cameras on their wireless networks than traditional wireless surveillance systems.”

"The pairing of Fluidmesh and VideoIQ is an ideal union because of their unique recording at the edge solution that offers significant bandwidth savings when combined with a wireless backbone system,” said Cosimo Malesci, Fluidmesh co-founder and vice president. “We are very excited to join with them as a technology partner.”
