Upgraded Honeywell Visitor Managment System Integrates with Security Management System

Honeywell announced an upgrade to its LobbyWorks visitor management system that now integrates with its Pro-Watch security management system. LobbyWorks 4.0 offers electronic auditing, identification of key visitors and self registration, which results in increased efficiency. LobbyWorks 4.0 is ideal for organizations of any size that seek to enhance the security of their facilities and protect employees and visitors by determining the identity of individuals.

“A visitor management system is critical to an organization's security because it minimizes potential risks and results in a safer working environment,” said Beth Thomas, senior product manager at Honeywell Systems. “This is a powerful tool for visitor management, instead of using an inefficient paper logbook or relying solely on a security guard. LobbyWorks consistently enforces a company’s security policies for visit sponsorship, visitation areas and sign-out procedures, as well as identifying unwanted visitors on facility watchlists.”

LobbyWorks 4.0 is simple to deploy and use, but it is flexible and powerful enough to meet the needs of users with diverse visitor management processes and policy requirements. As a result of the new integration with Pro-Watch, badge-holders can be automatically added to LobbyWorks as hosts, and now Pro-Watch makes additions, modifications and revocations to LobbyWorks automatically.

Other improvements to LobbyWorks 4.0 include a new kiosk application design for enhanced usability and faster visitor processing. An optional pre-registration e-mail for visitors now includes a bar code that can be scanned at the kiosk for quicker registration.

“In addition to reducing the time required for training on manual processes, using LobbyWorks to manage visitors helps an organization avoid personal injury, theft and loss, insurance claims, and spending time and money on the investigation of criminal events,” Thomas said. “Automation of Pro-Watch card issuance within LobbyWorks allows an organization to easily streamline temporary card issuance using existing lobby resources.”

LobbyWorks 4.0 is available in North American and European markets. Honeywell will demonstrate the system at ISC West.
