SituCon Systems, Samsung To Demonstrate Video-Based Safety Solution

At ISC West, SituCon Systems Inc., will demonstrate how its Emergency Awareness Solution, featuring patented privacy protecting technologies, a sophisticated alerting system and on-demand video overcomes the limitations of traditional video systems that merely allow the review of incidents after they occur. Now, in an emergency, video systems can instantly alert authorities to who is in trouble and let responders see what is happening in real-time while guaranteeing the privacy of individuals at all other times.

The company will specifically highlight how its H.264 Samsung-powered SituCam Privacy Protecting Camera features “eyelids” to provide high quality video that can be viewed over wired or wireless networks in previously surveillance prohibited areas like classrooms, religious institutions, healthcare facilities and any other place where privacy is a concern but the safety of personnel and the security of property remains critical.

Through one-on-one presentations in Samsung’s booth (No. 14065), SituCon will offer attendees an inside look into how municipalities and other types of organizations and facilities with privacy concerns can utilize the Emergency Awareness Solution to proactively provide the security and privacy that citizens, public safety personnel and local officials desire.

From local governments and schools that deploy it as a “just in case” solution to special needs providers who use it on a daily basis, SituCon will showcase how this single solution meets the distinct safety and privacy goals of a wide variety of users. Special attention will be devoted to the SituCam’s “eyelids” which remain closed, blocking the camera’s lens and thereby ensuring privacy until activation. In addition, SituCon will explain the special educational and medical benefits of its solution, as well as the availability of grants and other funding sources to enable the implementation of SituCon’s solution in schools and healthcare facilities across the country.
