Leo McGuire Honored with ESGR Spirit of Volunteerism Award

Real-Time Technology Group (RTTG), a provider of secure and hosted Web-based technology solutions for real-time critical information management, is pleased to announce that Director of Government Relations for RTTG and Retired Sheriff of Bergen County, Leo P. McGuire, has been honored with New Jersey's ESGR Spirit of Volunteerism Award. McGuire serves as the Bergen Area Chairman of the NJ Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR).

ESGR is a Department of Defense office formed in 1972 to support cooperation and understanding between Reserve Component Service members and their civilian employers and assist in resolving any conflicts arising from an employee's military commitment. ESGR is supported by a network of more than 4,900 volunteers in 54 committees across the U.S., Guam-CNMI, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Volunteers from many sectors, including small business and industry, government, education and those with prior military service, bring a broad breadth of experience to help assist employers, service members and their families. Together with Headquarters ESGR staff and a small cadre of support staff for each State Committee, volunteers work to promote and enhance employer support for military service in the Guard and Reserve.

The New Jersey's ESGR Spirit of Volunteerism Award is presented annually to one individual for outstanding leadership on behalf of the NJ ESGR office. Sheriff McGuire was previously given the Volunteer of the Year Award by the Friends of the Guard and Reserve, a non-profit organization dedicated to the support of the NJ ESGR, at a similar ceremony at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst.

Leo McGuire Honored with ESGR Spirit of Volunteerism Award"We are extremely proud of Leo and the incredible amount of time and effort he provides in support of our service men and women.  His devotion to helping them transition from military life to professional civilian careers exemplifies our recognition of American freedoms and opportunities," said Daniel Krantz, CEO of Real-Time Technology Group. "RTTG strongly supports ESGR’s mission, and we congratulate Leo on earning this esteemed Spirit of Volunteerism Award."

In addition to his experience leading a large Law Enforcement agency and his work as RTTG's Director of Government Relations, (Ret) Sheriff McGuire is also a skilled businessman with a Masters in Business and Homeland Security and teaches at several Universities.
