Samsung SRM-872 Mobile NVR Wins Best Surveillance Video Storage Award in SIA New Product Showcase

Samsung Techwin America was honored with the Best Surveillance Video Data Storage Award in the 35th annual SIA New Product Showcase (NPS) at ISC West 2014 for its for its SRM-872 Mobile NVR.

Samsung’s SRM-872 Mobile NVR is a full-featured 8-channel vibration-proof mobile NVR that is ideally suited for transportation applications. Boasting the smallest footprint on the market, the SRM-872 features a hardware design that outperforms its competitors and will survive the most extreme environments. Containing built-in VGA/HDMI output for HD monitor connection, the SRM-872 provides HD recording throughput of up to 64Mbps and can support resolutions up to three megapixels, standard comes with 1TB hard drive, remote control, GPS module, control and I/O boxes. Optional features such as Wi-Fi, 3/4G cellular and M12 connectivity. The SRM-872 also provides SDK/API for existing transportation management system integration.

Established in 1979, the SIA New Product Showcase recognizes innovative products, services and solutions in electronic physical security. Technologies showcased through the program are used in the protection of life and property in residential, commercial and institutional settings. The NPS takes place each year at ISC West, with awards presented in a ceremony held on the show’s first day.

This year’s NPS saw record 105 entries from 88 companies entered. Awards were presented in 25 product categories, along with the two top awards, Best New Product and Judges’ Choice. Additionally, for the second year, judges could, at their discretion, award an Honorable Mention award to any non-winning entry they feel is deserving of recognition. Samsung also received one of only six Honorable Mention Awards presented this year for its SmartCam WiFi Security Camera.
