Major General (Ret) James Champion to Deliver ESX 2015 Opening Keynote

The Electronic Security Expo (ESX)—the national trade event where electronic security and life safety dealers, integrators, and monitoring professionals connect, learn, and prepare for the future—has announced that Retired U.S. Army Special Forces Officer Major General James ‘Greg’ Champion will inspire ESX attendees with his Opening Keynote presentation, “Leadership Is A 24/7 Job.”

ESX attendees will be motivated as Major General Champion—one of our highest-ranking veterans—shares stories from both his civilian and military life that exemplify the concept of leading by example. Attendees will learn what leadership means today—and how creating a vision of where you want to go can make all the difference in achieving your goals.

“Leaders are never off the clock,” said Major General Champion.

Major General Champion will also share his experience as the first Chairman of the Green Beret Foundation—a Veteran Service Organization dedicated to providing resources to support the U.S. Army’s Green Berets and their families. ESX attendees will learn how they can support the Green Beret Foundation’s transition program The “Next Ridgeline,” which focuses on streamlining Green Beret veterans’ re-entry into civilian life. Green Berets will be on site at ESX to explain how companies and individuals can contribute by donating time or resources. Companies seeking new talent will be provided with the opportunity to conduct employment interviews with technology, operations, and security-savvy Green Berets.

Major General Champion has over two decades of experience leading our nation’s elite Green Berets in peacetime as well as in the Global War on Terror. His many distinguished assignments include command of the Combined Joint Special Operations Task Force in Afghanistan in 2002 and 2003.
