Milestone Systems Marks Increased UK Investment

Milestone Systems, an open platform company in IP video management software (VMS), hosted more than 100 of its UK partners, customers and key media representatives at its new UK & Ireland headquarters in Green Park, Reading on April 28.

“It is great to celebrate this important stage in Milestone’s development in the UK by moving into brand new offices at Green Park in Reading on the M4 ‘Silicon Corridor,’ said Chris Whitting, general manager, UK & Ireland, Milestone Systems. “It marks the beginning of a significantly increased investment in supporting our partners in the UK and Ireland doing more business with us. Partners are welcome to use our state-of-art demo facilities to help train their people in our technologies and demonstrate solutions to prospective customers.”

Milestone VP EMEA Thomas Lausten and Chris Whitting talked about the VMS market leader’s strategy for accelerating growth in the region. Milestone is increasing its support for key distribution partners, and creating initiatives to accelerate more growth for the partner ecosystem in this region.

Milestone also reported strong interest for its Milestone Husky Series of pre-configured NVRs launched just a year ago. The Milestone Husky M10 is proving ideal for entry-level surveillance, whilst the Milestone Husky M30 is designed for meeting more comprehensive surveillance needs. The Milestone Husky M50 is proving well suited for firms looking for a more powerful all-in-one solution with access to more channels and storage.

Snap One has announced its popular Luma x20 family of surveillance products now offers even greater security and privacy for home and business owners across the globe by giving them full control over integrators’ system access to view live and recorded video. According to Snap One Product Manager Derek Webb, the new “customer handoff” feature provides enhanced user control after initial installation, allowing the owners to have total privacy while also making it easy to reinstate integrator access when maintenance or assistance is required. This new feature is now available to all Luma x20 users globally. “The Luma x20 family of surveillance solutions provides excellent image and audio capture, and with the new customer handoff feature, it now offers absolute privacy for camera feeds and recordings,” Webb said. “With notifications and integrator access controlled through the powerful OvrC remote system management platform, it’s easy for integrators to give their clients full control of their footage and then to get temporary access from the client for any troubleshooting needs.”
