Paint Booth Expansion Creates New Opportunities for Code Blue

Code Blue is pleased to announce the completion of a $400,000, 1,500-square-foot expansion of its paint booth facilities that will further strengthen its reputation for providing industry leading emergency communication solutions.

The investment includes new equipment and infrastructure enhancements at Code Blue’s corporate headquarters at 259 Hedcor St. Code Blue moved into its current 34,000-square-foot facility in March 2013.

“These additions will bring Code Blue to another level when it comes to quality and efficiency,” Chief Operating Officer David Cook said. “This facility will not only benefit our own processes and products, but it has a tremendous amount of potential to support the needs of the West Michigan business community.”

The construction of new finishing, primer, prep, blast and mixing booths will bolster Code Blue’s productivity and efficiency by not only speeding up the assembly process, but also allowing the paint process to be cleaner and more cost effective. The 282-square-foot reclamation blast booth, for example, is a unique structure capable of accommodating a wide variety of large and diverse projects.

Code Blue also will be able to prep, prime, paint, bake and assemble its signature Help Points in as little as one week, ensuring that its pristine products can meet a customer’s tight deadline.

Code Blue’s Help Points have long been distinguished by the luster and vibrancy of their finish. Each unit undergoes an intensive four-coat paint process that ensures each product is both attractive and is durable enough to withstand the harshest natural and man-made elements. A clear coating option also is available that helps keep the automobile-grade paint finish looking like new in areas that experience harsh elements and weather, particularly areas exposed to salt water.

Code Blue, which is capable of painting virtually any color, can match Pantone, RAL and other swatch colors, in addition to the 12 standard options it currently offers. Durable custom paint, graphics and logos also can be applied to provide a personalized look for specific locations.
