ASSA ABLOY Acquires ADAEZ Pro Line of Wire Free Door Openers

ASSA ABLOY has successfully completed the acquisition of the ADAEZ Pro line of specialty door operators from EDMIT Industries. The ADAEZ Pro line offers unique benefits for rigorous institutional and commercial applications.

The ADAEZ Pro line comprises two heavy-duty low energy operators, both for high traffic environments. The ADAEZ Pro offers a Regenerative Power System that charges an onboard battery pack, eliminating the need for wired electrical power in high use applications. The Pro ships standard with an integral RF receiver and wireless push buttons that make install a breeze.

The ADAEZ Pro Plus model utilizes low voltage power and plugs into any standard outlet. It also ships with integral RF receiver and push buttons, and offers many features available in full size operators such as Push-and-Go and integration with access control systems.

The ADAEZ Pro Line will become a product series for Norton Door Controls, an ASSA ABLOY Group company, and will be manufactured in Monroe, North Carolina.

“The acquisition of the ADAEZ Pro line is a great addition to our current low energy operator offering. These two operators make it very easy to convert any opening to be compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), offering our customers yet another option to meet their facilities’ requirements. We look forward to having the team at ADAEZ joining us,” stated Eric Sejourne, President, ASSA ABLOY Architectural Accessories and Door Controls Group.
