ESX Announces Panelists for the OpenXchange Breakfast

The Electronic Security Expo (ESX) – a national trade event for electronic security and life safety professionals - announces the panelists for its OpenXchange Breakfast – “The Changing Competitive Landscape.” This Mainstage event, to be held in the Fort Worth Convention Center on June 8th, will be a lively interactive panel discussing disruptive technologies, emerging trends and how they will influence the direction of our industry.

ESX welcomes this year’s panelists to the Open Exchange Breakfast - Tim Colleran, Director of Business Development for Qualcomm, Steve Shapiro, Vice President of Business Products and Industry Relations for ADT, and Nate Williams, Chief Revenue Officer for August.

Moderated by ESX Chairman George De Marco, this forum will provide attendees an opportunity to hear first-hand unique perspectives and experiences from business and industry thought leaders about the fast-changing and competitive landscape of the electronic security and life safety industry. Tim Colleran - Director of Business Development for Qualcomm

Tim is the North American Director of Business Development for IoT at Qualcomm. In this role, he focuses on emerging applications in the home automation and home security segments amongst others. Previously, he held the CEO and VP level roles at ZeroG wireless, an early IoT Wi-Fi company. Prior to that, Tim held various roles in the FPGA industry including Vice President, Business Unit Leader and Managing Director roles at Altera. He has a BSEE from UCSB and an MBA from the Andersen School of Management at UCLA. Outside of work Tim is an active cyclist, skier and father.

Nate Williams - Chief Revenue Officer, August

Nate has more than 15 years’ experience as a technology executive, entrepreneur, and executive advisor in marketing, product and business development, and corporate finance.  Prior to this, Nate was the Chief Marketing Officer and Executive VP of Business Development of Greenwave Systems, where he led worldwide marketing and business development teams.  He was also successful at Motorola Mobility (Google) where he led software product marketing and business development teams.

Steve Shapiro – Vice-President of Business Products and Industry Relations for ADT.

Steve is responsible for executing and managing ADT’s small business and commercial product offerings. He plans, executes and manages strategic relationships with key North American security and automation industry organizations, alliances and initiatives, including the CSAA, SIA and the Z-Wave alliance.  Prior to assuming this role, Steve led ADT’s product strategy and engineering initiatives, including the development of the company’s revolutionary smart home automation system, ADT Pulse, fire, home and health care systems.
