Mission 500 Takes the Field for Children in Need

Miami, FL (June 28, 2016) – Mission 500 has announced Saturday, August 20, 2016 as the date for its second annual security industry softball game fundraiser. This year’s event will be held from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Eisenhower Park in Westbury, New York.

“Last year we held our first industry softball game and it was an astounding success with more than $75,000 raised by 40 corporate sponsors,” said Jeff Eichenlaub, Director of Strategic Partnerships, for Mission 500. “We aim to do even better this year while providing a fun way for families to spend a Saturday afternoon together.”

The game will be played on softball field # 3 at the Park Boulevard entrance to Eisenhower Park, which is located at 1899 Hempstead Turnpike in Westbury, New York. There will be activities for children, along with complimentary food and drinks.

Sponsorships are available at the Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum levels. Platinum level sponsors each have the opportunity to put two players on the field while   Gold sponsors are each allowed one. Player numbers will be capped at 30, with 15 players on each team. Companies can support and sponsor the event from near and afar in many ways (fundraising for uniform logos, BBQ, RBIs, inning sponsors, etc.) Those who are unable to attend the event, but would still like to donate, can do so by visiting https://www.eventbrite.com/e/2016-security-softball-game-tickets-26103404987?aff=eac2. The company or sponsor that raises the most funds will take home the MVP Trophy. Last year Hanwha Techwin America took home the trophy for top individual fundraising.

Proceeds generated by the event will benefit children and families in need across the country, as well as locally to schools in the Nassau County area in need of supplies and backpacks.

The softball fundraiser will stand alongside Mission 500’s Security 5K/2K run/walk, held annually at ISC West, as a major industry-wide event to help children in need. In addition to participating in and raising money for this and other Mission 500 events, security industry professionals can support Mission 500 in a variety of ways, including volunteering to help with the Security 5K/2K or making financial donations. All donations are tax-deductible and can be made with major credit cards.
