Don't Forget About the Special Events at ISC West

For anyone who has attended ISC West before, we know it is an extremely busy event. But that doesn't mean you can't take the time to enjoy some of the special events that are offered during the show.

The special events for ISC West start on Tuesday, April 4.

Hit Up the Green

If you enjoy spending time on the green, the 14th Annual AIREF Gold Classic starts at 8:45 that morning and ends in the afternoon. You can hitch a shuttle bus ride at Treasure Island and enjoy some gold at the Revere Golf Club. Registration is required, but you can come alone, bring a partner or more. This event provides a fun way to network.

The Drones

Available to check out at numerous events, drones are a huge focus at ISC West this year. As part of the Unmanned Security Expo Area, attendees can check out the first event with drones on Tuesday morning at 10:30 in the back of the exhibit hall. This event demonstrates how drones can be implemented into your security business. More drone sessions are available throughout the show, so there will be plenty events to choose.

Kickoff Party

For those who will be in Vegas on Tuesday night, you can attend the Official ISC West Kickoff Party that begins at 10p.m. It takes place at the Lavo Nightclub in the Palazzo. Complimentary admission is provided for all attendees and exhibitors. You just have to show your badge to enter. Sounds like a great way to relax and prepare yourself for the busy days ahead.

The Security 5K Run/2K Walk

For anyone interested in participating in a 5K for a good cause, here's your chance. The run takes place on Thursday morning at 7:30. ISC West even holds an awards ceremony for winners in each category on Thursday night at 5p.m. All proceeds of the race will be donated to Mission 500 for helping children in need. You can register for the race at the show registration area on Level 1.

Happy Hour for Young Pros Thursday night at 5p.m., RISE (the networking group for the future leaders in the security industry) provides a dinner for the members (in their 20s and 30s) at Señor Frog's.

With even more special events to choose from than the above list, attendees of ISC West will have plenty of options for fun while there.

Recent data privacy regulations like GDPR in Europe and CPRA in California made waves when they first went into effect, forcing businesses to change the way they approach data collection and storage to continue operating in those markets.
