Camden Marks its 30th Anniversary with a Bold New Look into the Future

Camden Door Controls, a premier provider of door activation and locking devices, celebrates its 30th anniversary in 2018. The company is marking the milestone by unveiling a bold new rebranding look, spanning a new logo, web site and design of its product guides and other collaterals. Camden is also commemorating its 30 years of success with the introduction of a new range of industry leading products, and a continued commitment to lead the way in providing first choice door locking, activation and access control solutions.

The website redesign incorporates the latest technology and features. It houses a new range of support documentation, including product reference guides, and graphic based document libraries with product spec sheets, manuals, guides, certificates and images, and increased ‘media rich’ information, including product videos.

Launching in 1988 with a vision to manufacture best-in-class door activation devices, including  key switches and push/exit buttons, Camden today offers more switch models than any of its competitors combined, and leads the market with exclusive touchless switch and wireless technology. Camden's product suite spans door controllers, locking products, including a new range of electric strikes, and advanced IP telephone entry and access control panels. Beyond devices, Camden is now expanding its technical services to package its exclusive products in turn-key system/project solutions.

"Camden continues to design and manufacture virtually all of the products that carry our name," notes Dave Malen, Camden's founder and chief executive officer. "We will always offer the responsiveness and high level of customer service that is only possible from a privately-owned and independent manufacturer. On behalf of everyone at Camden, we thank our customers for their loyal patronage and look forward to continuing our pledge to excellence for another 30 years and beyond."

Snap One has announced its popular Luma x20 family of surveillance products now offers even greater security and privacy for home and business owners across the globe by giving them full control over integrators’ system access to view live and recorded video. According to Snap One Product Manager Derek Webb, the new “customer handoff” feature provides enhanced user control after initial installation, allowing the owners to have total privacy while also making it easy to reinstate integrator access when maintenance or assistance is required. This new feature is now available to all Luma x20 users globally. “The Luma x20 family of surveillance solutions provides excellent image and audio capture, and with the new customer handoff feature, it now offers absolute privacy for camera feeds and recordings,” Webb said. “With notifications and integrator access controlled through the powerful OvrC remote system management platform, it’s easy for integrators to give their clients full control of their footage and then to get temporary access from the client for any troubleshooting needs.”

Hexagon’s Geosystems presents a portable version of its Accur8vision detection system. A rugged all-in-one solution, the A8V MIND (Mobile Intrusion Detection) is designed to provide flexible protection of critical outdoor infrastructure and objects. Hexagon’s Accur8vision is a volumetric detection system that employs LiDAR technology to safeguard entire areas. Whenever it detects movement in a specified zone, it automatically differentiates a threat from a nonthreat, and immediately notifies security staff if necessary. Person detection is carried out within a radius of 80 meters from this device. Connected remotely via a portable computer device, it enables remote surveillance and does not depend on security staff patrolling the area.
