New Home Security Products to Keep an Eye Out for at CES 2019

Every year, the Consumer Electronics Show features the unveiling of innovative security products from established brands and newcomers alike.

We’ve rounded up some of the top security products being showcased in Vegas this week.

ADT Command Panel and Control Platform

ADT Command is a 7-inch, wireless touchscreen panel that serves as a central point of a smart home system. The app and ADT platform offer support for more than 250 devices across multiple brands.

Alarm.com’s Wellcam

The Wellcam is a smart video camera that connects to WiFi and allows users to extend their security system into the home of a remote loved one who may need monitoring and check in on their wellbeing via its 180-degree field of view, two-way audio calls and live video.

ARRAY by Hampton Satellite

ARRAY by Hampton is previewing the upcoming ARRAY by Hampton Satellite outdoor security lighting fixtures at this year’s show. The fixtures and pendants sync with the ARRAY by Hamptom Video Coach Lights.

Arlo Ultra 4K

The Arlo Ultra 4K is the first smart-home security camera to capture and stream footage in 4K definition, meaning captured footage could potentially include extra information, like a car license plate or a better look at a suspicious person’s face.

Interlogix Simon Control Panel

The Interlogix Simon control panel serves as a one-stop access point for your home security system. Interlogix has also introduced new door/window sensors, key fobs and motion detectors, and their new home tech is designed to work with Alarm.com security systems.

LifeShield HD Video Doorbell

The LifeShield HD Video Doorbell will be available for purchase in the second quarter of 2019 and features motion-detection technology as well as voice support with Amazon Alexa and integration with Google Assistant.

Ooma Smart Security System

Ooma has added 4G and battery backup to its Smart Security system. 4G backup means the system should keep working even if wireless internet cuts out, and the battery backup keeps it running if the power goes out.

Remo+ RemoBell W, RemoBell S, and DoorCam 2

Remo+ has three new smart cameras on display at CES 2019. The RemoBell W and RemoBell S are traditional smart doorbells, and the DoorCam 2 is the second-generation version of the Remo+ DoorCam, which fits over your door.

Tuya Smart Smart Home 2.0

Tuya is offering a sneak peek of the Smart Home 2.0 but remains coy about the details; however, it sounds like the home security platform combines 10 different products, combining sensors and alarms, and includes facial recognition.

Yale Assure Lever Lock

The Assure Lever Lock is a new addition to Yale’s keyless smart lock line. The Assure Lever Lock uses a digital touchpad to control access, and is designed to secure doors lacking a deadbolt.
