Keynote Series Speaker Lineup Announced for ISC West 2022

ISC West, in collaboration with premier sponsor the Security Industry Association (SIA), announces this year’s Keynote Series speaker lineup ahead of the March 22-25 event in Las Vegas (SIA Education@ISC: March 22-24 | Exhibit Hall: March 23-25). Education is an important part of ISC West, the leading comprehensive and converged security trade event in the United States, and this year’s inspiring Keynote Series sessions were specifically selected to educate professionals on the latest trends and industry developments, and to help guide the industry in gaining new perspectives for the future.

In addition to over 65 SIA Education@ISC sessions taking place March 22-24, the 2022 Keynote Series lineup will kick off each morning (March 23-25) and feature high-profile names such as Rosemary Vassiliadis, Director of Aviation at the Clark County Department of Aviation, Michael J. Bouchard, Sheriff of Oakland County, Michigan, and Jenny Radcliffe, the “People Hacker.” These sessions are complimentary to attend and open to all ISC West badge holders:

Day 1 Keynote: The Continuing Evolution of Las Vegas: How Aviation Security Technology Advancements are Taking LAS to the Next Level
Wednesday, March 23 | 8:45-9:45 a.m. | Venetian Ballroom F
Featuring: Rosemary Vassiliadis, Director of Aviation, Clark County Department of Aviation
Sponsored by: ADT Commercial
In this keynote address, Rosemary Vassiliadis, Director of Aviation for Las Vegas, will discuss the destination’s continuing evolution, while sharing insights into how Harry Reid International Airport is likewise evolving to keep flyers moving safely and efficiently. She’ll also highlight the airport’s Innovation Checkpoint, a unique testing ground at which the Transportation Security Administration’s Innovation Task Force is running live trials on new technologies and processes that are already improving security at airports across the nation and will continue to do so into the future.

Day 2 Keynote: Lessons in Public Safety Response, Crisis Management and Community Resiliency in the Age of Mass Shooting
Thursday, March 24 | 8:45-9:45 a.m. | Venetian Ballroom F
Featuring: Michael J. Bouchard, Sheriff, Oakland County, Michigan
In this keynote presentation, Sheriff Michael J. Bouchard will share perspectives on mass shooting response and recovery efforts in the aftermath of the Oxford High School active shooter incident in November 2021. Sheriff Bouchard will share insights on emergency preparedness, crisis management and various types of security technologies that are designed to detect, deter, prevent and assist in response to mass shooting incidents.

Day 3 SIA Women in Security Forum Keynote: "People Hacking: The Human Element of Security"
Friday, March 25 | 10:00-11:00 a.m.| The Bridge Stage – Booth #20073
Featuring: Jenny Radcliffe, the “People Hacker”
Join SIA’s Women in Security Forum to explore “The Human Side of Security” with Jenny Radcliffe. Radcliffe is a social engineer and “people hacker” – or a mix of shrewd behavioral scientist, master negotiator and actor. In this keynote address, Jenny Radcliffe will cover how people are the weakest link in organizational security, how to bridge the gap between human and cyber security, new behavioral science insights into security and scams, and more.

"From protecting major airports to preventing and responding to mass shootings to the behavioral science aspect of security, this powerful series of keynotes at ISC West will deliver insights that truly matter to our industry, and these keynotes pair well with the full SIA Education@ISC conference program, where leading experts will share their know-how on topics of security technology, business management and career improvement,” said SIA CEO Don Erickson. “With a variety of other special SIA training offerings, including our OSDP Boot Camp, SIA’s Security Project Management training course, an information session on the Security Industry Cybersecurity Certification, a drones and robotics business forum and the kickoff to the new Women in Security Forum Leadership Series, this year’s ISC West offers more expertise than ever before.”

Not only do the topics and themes of this year’s Keynote Series sessions mimic the strength and forward-thinking of the entire SIA Education@ISC Program (Platinum Sponsors: 3S System Technology, Axis Communications, Telguard), but many of these trends will also be prominent throughout the ISC West Show Floor. Offering over 525 exhibitors and brands, redesigned and reimagined Featured Area gateways, the revamped SIA New Products & Solutions (NPS) Awards Program (now located on the Show Floor!), and most excitedly The Bridge – the new heartbeat of ISC West powered by Intel – this year’s entire ISC West experience has been elevated for 2022 to truly reinforce the importance of connecting with the industry at the first major security event of the year.

“As we continue to countdown to the Show, the positive momentum has only continued to escalate. Our reports of attendee registrations have now marked over 80% ahead of 2021 and the Show Floor growth continues to exceed well-over double the size of last year’s event, both showing how apparent it is that the industry is ready to get back together at in-person events. We’re excited to unveil new aspects of this year’s Show Floor specifically focused on trending topics and growth segments in the industry, while creating a WOW experience for our customers with a redesigned Show look and feel, which contributes even more excitement in addition to the notorious ISC West energy. There will truly be something for everyone at this year’s event and we cannot wait to see all of our customers in just three weeks!” states Mary Beth Shaughnessy, Event Director.
