Allied Universal Appoints Lori Olin Vice President of Communications

Allied Universal has announced that Lori Olin has joined the company as vice president of communications. Olin will implement a comprehensive strategy that reaches internal and external audiences to promote the brand and enhance Allied Universal's reputation across North America. She will provide expertise and innovative approaches to define, drive and evaluate the effectiveness of internal and external communications, including corporate communications, public relations, media relations and crisis communications.

“Lori brings more than 20 years of leadership experience and a proven track record in implementing effective corporate communications programs for key stakeholders, and we are very excited to have her join our team,” said Lasse Glassen, Allied Universal chief communications and investor relations officer.  “Her background and expertise are perfectly aligned to help create and execute a proactive and strategic approach to Allied Universal’s internal communications, public relations, media relations and crisis management.”

Olin has served in a number of senior-level communications roles with experience that includes public relations, media outreach, community relations and corporate communications. Olin joined Allied Universal from the Transportation Corridor Agencies where she served as the government agencies’ senior director of internal and external communications. A former journalist and award-winning writer, Olin previously held corporate communications positions with IBM and Fluor Corp.
