ISC West 2023 is right around the corner! This year’s trade show is scheduled from March 28–31 at the Venetian Expo in Las Vegas, Nevada. The Campus Security & Life Safety and Security Today staff will be on hand to provide live updates about the security industry’s latest innovations, trends, and products. Whether you’re attending the show or keeping tabs on it from afar, we’ve got you covered. Make sure to follow the Live From ISC West 2023 page for photos, videos, interviews, product demonstrations, announcements, commentary, and more from the heart of the show floor!

For this year’s Live From program, we’re proud to partner with five sponsors: NAPCO Security, Observint Technologies, Vistacom, RGB Spectrum, and DoorKing. Each of these vendors is coming to Las Vegas ready to make a mark, and we’re happy to help them broadcast their achievements to the industry at large. Below is a preview of each vendor and what they’re bringing to the show.

NAPCO Security Technologies Inc. (Booth 12031) develops technology and security solutions for security dealers, fire alarm dealers, and systems integrators. Its product line includes electronic security devices; school safety solutions; and wireless communication services for incidents of intrusion, commercial fire alarm, locking applications, and access control.

“We are excited to be a featured exhibitor at ISC West again this year,” said NAPCO CEO Richard Soloway. “Prominently located immediately inside the main entrance of the show, our booth is all new and designed to present our full line of security product solutions (80% commercial) in a powerful way to the tens of thousands of security professionals in attendance. Our full NAPCO sales team, management, and technical trainers wil be on hand, staffing the booth and providing interactive product introductions. We also have several onsite social and educational events planned to further engage and expand our customer base. I expect that sales leads will surely break all records. It aims to be the most exciting trade show in NAPCO’s history.”

Observint Technologies is returning to ISC West for the first time in over 10 years, putting its Alibi Security brand (Booth 31075) front and center. Alibi is a security serving dealer and integrator channel partner offering services like U.S.-based technical support (with 90-second call pickup times); U.S.-based dedicated account managers that provide pre- and post-sales support; regional field support; centralized shipping; new technology solutions to help dealers build RMR; and free sales and marketing resources and tools. Live product demonstrations will focus on camera-to-cloud video surveillance, cloud video backup with AI analytics, cloud-based marketing tools and sales resources, integrated access control, and raffles and giveaways.

Vistacom (Booth L28) will be showcasing SecureView, a command center kit with a do-it-yourself video wall assembly that comes preconfigured with processing capabilities and touch-panel control. The solution best serves small- and medium-sized operations centers, and it also offers remote support and a wide variety of configurations that buyers can choose from.

RGB Spectrum (Booth 7050) offers design and manufacturing capabilities for video processing, control solutions, and display solutions across a wide variety of industries, including medical, government, and education. Products on display are set to include the Galileo Video Wall Processor, the QuadView UHDx Multiviewer, and XtendPoint KVM-over-IP Extender. RGB offers visualization technology for SOCs, EOCs, and traffic management centers that feature video display and distribution solutions that offer advanced assessment, analysis, decisionmaking capabilities, and response.

Finally, DoorKing Inc. (Booth 23015) provides access control systems, vehicular gate operators, parking control products and vehicle barrier products. The ProxPlus Secure card reader, on display at the show, makes the duplication of access cards impossible. Other recent products include the Model 1620 Lane Barrier and the Model 2112 Video Entry System.

  • The Stage is Set

The security industry spans the entire globe, with manufacturers, developers and suppliers on every continent (well, almost—sorry, Antarctica). That means when regulations pop up in one area, they often have a ripple effect that impacts the entire supply chain. Recent data privacy regulations like GDPR in Europe and CPRA in California made waves when they first went into effect, forcing businesses to change the way they approach data collection and storage to continue operating in those markets. Even highly specific regulations like the U.S.’s National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) can have international reverberations – and this growing volume of legislation has continued to affect global supply chains in a variety of different ways.
