Live From ISC West 2023: Day 1

ISC West 2023 in Las Vegas, Nevada, has officially begun! Make sure to keep an eye on Security Today’s ISCW Live 2023 page, as well as our associated Twitter accounts—@SecurToday and @CampusSecur—for the latest updates from the show floor at the Venetian Expo.

During this year’s Live From program, we’re happy to highlight the achievements of our five partners: NAPCO Security, Observint Technologies, Vistacom, RGB Spectrum, and DoorKing. I’ll be dropping by each of their booths a couple times per day to share news, product information, demonstrations, happy hour information, and more. Here’s a brief overview of their presence at the show.

NAPCO Security Technologies (Booth 12031) will be debuting a wide variety of products in commercial fire, access control, communications, intrusion, locking hardware, and video. Visitors to the booth will receive a free demo and a ticket to the Cocktail Reception & Giveaway, which will take place from 3–5 p.m. on Wednesday & Thursday both. Prizes include the FireLink XL FACP, AirAccess, StarLink MAX Fire, Prima, E-Access, and $500 in “Marks Locks Bucks.”

Observint Technologies’ Alibi Security brand (Booth 31075) is re-announcing its presence in the industry after a 10-year break from ISC West. They’ll be providing live demonstrations of technology solutions like camera-to-cloud video surveillance, cloud video backup with powerful AI analytics, cloud-based marketing tools & sales resources, and integrated access control, as well as offering giveaways and raffles. Demo stations will feature traditional video security; the Alibi Cloud VS; the Alibi Hybrid Cloud; Alibi Arsenal, a package of sales/marketing tools and resources; and integrated access control solutions in partnership with 3XLogic/Infinias.

Vistacom (Booth L28) is bringing SecureView, a command-center kit featuring an easily self-assembled video wall and display that comes preconfigured with advanced processing and touch panel control. The solution works best for small-to-medium organizations with potential budget constraints.

RGB Spectrum (Booth 7050) will be showcasing its visualization technology for SOCs, EOCs, and traffic management centers that feature video display and distribution solutions offering improved assessment, analysis, decision-making, and response capabilities. Its gallery of products and services includes the Galileo Video Wall Processor, the QuadView UHDx Multiviewer, and the XtendPoint KVM-over-IP Extender.

Lastly, DoorKing Inc (Booth 23015) is bringing its collection of access control systems, parking control products, vehicular gate operators, and vehicle barrier products. More specifically, the ProxPlus Secure card readers and cards offer a higher level of security than most 125KHx proximity card reader systems can offer. DoorKing’s unique card encryption technology allows the cards to only be read by a ProxPlus Secure reader. Meanwhile, the 2112 eVolve is a video telephone entry system designed primarily for residential applications. The cloud-based system can control up to three entry points and offers broadcast calling, which can cause up to four phones to ring when the call button is pushed.

    Luma x20

Snap One has announced its popular Luma x20 family of surveillance products now offers even greater security and privacy for home and business owners across the globe by giving them full control over integrators’ system access to view live and recorded video. According to Snap One Product Manager Derek Webb, the new “customer handoff” feature provides enhanced user control after initial installation, allowing the owners to have total privacy while also making it easy to reinstate integrator access when maintenance or assistance is required. This new feature is now available to all Luma x20 users globally. “The Luma x20 family of surveillance solutions provides excellent image and audio capture, and with the new customer handoff feature, it now offers absolute privacy for camera feeds and recordings,” Webb said. “With notifications and integrator access controlled through the powerful OvrC remote system management platform, it’s easy for integrators to give their clients full control of their footage and then to get temporary access from the client for any troubleshooting needs.”

    A8V MIND

Hexagon’s Geosystems presents a portable version of its Accur8vision detection system. A rugged all-in-one solution, the A8V MIND (Mobile Intrusion Detection) is designed to provide flexible protection of critical outdoor infrastructure and objects. Hexagon’s Accur8vision is a volumetric detection system that employs LiDAR technology to safeguard entire areas. Whenever it detects movement in a specified zone, it automatically differentiates a threat from a nonthreat, and immediately notifies security staff if necessary. Person detection is carried out within a radius of 80 meters from this device. Connected remotely via a portable computer device, it enables remote surveillance and does not depend on security staff patrolling the area.
