Versa Next Generation Firewall Achieves Recommended Rating and 99.90% Security Effectiveness Score from Independent Testing Lab

Versa Networks, provider of in AI/ML-powered Unified Secure Access Service Edge (SASE), today announced that Versa Next Generation Firewall (NGFW) received a Recommended Rating, the highest rating given by CyberRatings.org. In the Q1 2024 Cloud Network Firewall comparative report, Versa achieved an overall security effectiveness score of 99.90% with the fastest Rated Throughput of any vendor. As a result of CyberRatings’ rigorous testing of 11 cloud network firewall vendors, Versa NGFW once again demonstrated superior performance, security effectiveness, and value.

The CyberRatings Q1 2024 Cloud Network Firewall report features a Security Value Map™ comparing Amazon Web Services (AWS), Barracuda, Check Point, Cisco, Forcepoint, Fortinet, Juniper Networks, Palo Alto Networks, Sophos, Versa, and WatchGuard. CyberRatings’ strict testing environment emulated real-world digital traffic scenarios, with a focus on both encrypted and unencrypted data to ensure a comprehensive assessment of each firewall’s effectiveness.

Using the AWS cloud and CyberRatings’ Austin, Texas, facility, the organization conducted an independent test of Versa Operating System against the Cloud Firewall Test Methodology v2.1. Versa NGFW was thoroughly tested to determine how it handled TLS/SSL 1.2 and 1.3 cipher suites, how it defended against 984 exploits, whether any of 1,645 evasions could bypass protection, and if it would remain stable under adverse conditions.
