Live from GSX 2024: Day 1 Recap

The first day of GSX 2024 in Orlando, is in the books, and both of our partners in this year’s Live From program came out swinging.

Here’s a recap of what’s happening with our partners:

LVT (Booth 1815): LVT started the show unveiling its next generation of the Command Center VSaaS solution.

Users can tap instant video playback and the ability to view and manage multiple camera views. The software can also be customized to prioritize alerts. Other features include in-depth analytics and an incident history.

“For nearly a decade, LVT’s Command Center has given security leaders who want to leverage the power of cloud-native software services unmatched situational awareness. Our new Command Center experience provides an even more seamless, reliable, and highly effective system built to stay ahead of the evolving security landscape while leveraging the globally scalable, lower cost of ownership, and dynamic power of cloud compute,” said Steve Lindsey, LVT CTO. “Security teams are often hampered by solutions that restrict them from taking real-time action; failing to deliver timely alerts and provide the essential information to inform an effective response at any moment, day or night.”

Hirsch (Booth 2327): Hirsch has a huge portfolio of access control, video surveillance, identity management, and perimeter protection solutions.

One of the products being showcased at the company’s booth is the ScrambleFactor SF.3. The reader took home our 2024 New Product of the Year Award in the Access Control - Biometrics category.

Made for federal government and high-security enterprise environment, the reader can offerup to three-factor authentication with biometrics, PIN, and contact/contactless authentication. It includes an LCD touchscreen for PIN entry (scramble or standard), an embedded contactless reader (13.56MHz and 125kHz), a contact reader (CAC, PIV, PIV-I, TWIC), and a fingerprint capture reader all in one stunning unit.

Eagle Eye Networks (Booth 1721): Eagle Eye Networks was busy showing off some great hardware and software. One of the cameras being showcased was the DX01.

The camera is an 8MP 180-degree multi-sensor bullet camera (stitched 2x5MP). It also offers integrated warm light LEDs. The camera is perfect for any application that requires extreme fields of view at a high resolution.

NAPCO (Booth 2600): NAPCO has a wide variety of great products to view at the show. One of those is Alarm Lock & Marks USA’s door locking solutions. Designed for K-12 and higher education, it provides the first line of defense. Users can control perimeter doors by schedule, secure panic exit doors with various alarm models, and prevent door-propping and contraband entry with door alarms.

During a lockdown, some of the capabilities include central office control, staff keyfobs, or an admin smart app. It’s easy to retrofit classroom locks with mechanical lockdown and indicators.
