SmartSuite Integration Brings IQSIGHT Video Intelligence to Milestone XProtect

New plugin suite reduces installation time for system integrators by 70% while enhancing real-time forensic search capabilities.

Milestone Systems and IQSIGHT, formerly Bosch Video Systems, have released SmartSuite, a consolidated plugin suite designed for Milestone XProtect video management software.

The integration embeds Intelligent Video Analytics from IQSIGHT directly into the XProtect platform, allowing security professionals to manage hardware, analytics, and operations through a single interface. According to internal testing, the suite reduces installation time for system integrators by up to 70 percent by consolidating three separate plugins into one unified tool.

The software surfaces metadata within XProtect, providing operators with color-coded bounding boxes, object classification, and trajectory lines. It also includes support for forensic search and real-time visualization for Intelligent Video Analytics Pro, including detection features for personal protective equipment and gunshot direction indicators.

The suite is compatible with visual gun detection technology, which identifies individuals brandishing firearms to provide alerts in environments such as schools and public facilities.

"SmartSuite raises the bar for integrated security management and provides a powerful new way to unify systems, insights, and action," said Sebastian Döllner, vice president for technology partnerships and open platform at Milestone Systems. "By bringing together the advanced technologies and expertise of IQSIGHT and Milestone, we enable our customers to strengthen their security operations and respond to incidents faster and more precisely."

The integration also streamlines device configuration. Integrators can now configure cameras within the XProtect Management Client, removing the requirement to log into individual devices or toggle between different configuration environments. The update includes panoramic de-warping, hardware controls for wipers and infrared illumination, and automated configuration for camera names and network settings.

Sam Ward, chief commercial officer of global sales at IQSIGHT, said the introduction of the suite allows organizations to surface real-time insights to speed up decision-making in critical situations.

The companies will demonstrate the SmartSuite integration at ISC West in Las Vegas. The software is available globally as a free download through the IQSIGHT website.
