Wireless transmission for security is often used in outdoor settings where there is not existing wired infrastructure, or where it’s cost-prohibitive or impractical to implement wired solutions. Wireless networks also are ideal for temporary installations such as special events, fairs or rallies, as well as longer-term installations, such as construction sites.

IQinVision recently announced that Sonderborg Kollegierne, a dormitory campus in Denmark, has initially installed approximately 75 IQeye indoor and outdoor HD megapixel cameras to provide enhanced security for the students in residence. Necom is the integrator for this ongoing project.

There are several key differences between tradeshows in the United States and the United Kingdom. Spelling is one. But here on Day 1 at IFSEC, traffic at the show is a bit sparse. That could be why IFSEC is held four days straight.
