While wireless locks have been around for a number of years, wireless locks that store information in the lock itself are brand new. Each stand-alone wireless lock is a panel that contains all information about the lock. Once programmed, the wireless lock continues processing independent of a server or computer.

The United States Postal Service (USPS) recently announced the implementation a multi-site, technologically-advanced video security program. With more than 40,000 sites across the country, the USPS has selected Diebold Security to manage this nationwide implementation under a three-year agreement.
Axis Communications has entered into a contract for installation of network cameras in 750 existing SPAR stores in Austria. The installation has commenced and will be completed by summer 2009.
IndigoVision’s complete IP CCTV technology has been used to extend the capabilities of Hong Kong’s extensive traffic surveillance system. The current analog system has been expanded with the addition of 48 cameras using IndigoVision’s IP video system, creating a fully integrated 250 camera hybrid solution.
