Rapiscan Systems To Provide Multiple Screening Systems At 2010 Winter Olympic Games

OSI Systems Inc. recently announced that its Security division, Rapiscan Systems, has been awarded a $3.2 million contract to provide multiple screening systems, including Rapiscan’s advanced 600 series checkpoint, parcel and baggage inspection systems to the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympic Games.

The Rapiscan Systems’ 600 series of baggage and parcel screening solutions are designed for rapid relocation and easy deployment in a variety of terrains and space constricted areas, making them an ideal for large venues with numerous points of entry. The 600 series systems include dual-energy transmission X-ray scanning for detection of organic and inorganic materials, as well as sophisticated image analysis tools and an intuitive, easy-to-operate Graphical User Interface.
