AlliedBarton's North Carolina Team Supports Guard and Reserve

AlliedBarton Security Services, a provider of highly trained security personnel, has signed a statement of support for the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve through its Charlotte, N.C., office.

Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) is a Department of Defense agency established in 1972. The mission of ESGR is to gain and maintain employer support for Guard and Reserve service by recognizing outstanding support, increasing awareness of the law, and resolving conflicts through mediation. ESGR volunteers provide free education, consultation, and if necessary mediation for employers of Guard and Reserve employees.

"Our local team is proud to support the North Carolina Committee for Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve, and we are happy to partner with an organization dedicated to supporting those who serve our country," said DelMar Laury, vice president and general manager. "Our president and CEO signed this statement at our corporate headquarters, and we are proud to pledge our support in North Carolina as well. Locally and nationally, AlliedBarton is honored to hire reservists and veterans from all branches of the military."

This local statement of support further positions AlliedBarton as a national partner to this organization.

The North Carolina team pledges to:

  • fully recognize, honor and enforce the Uniformed Services Employment and Re-Employment Rights Act (USERRA).
  • ensure that their managers and supervisors will have the tools they need to effectively manage those employees who serve in the Guard and Reserve.
  • continually recognize and support our country's service members and their families in peace, in crises and in war.

The company's North Carolina offices received Patriotic Employer Certificates from the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve. The security services industry is an ideal career field for transitioning military.

As the 1.3 million members of the National Guard and Reserve continue to perform an increasing number of unique missions that require extraordinary actions on the part of everyday citizens, ESGR will continue to be the informational agency for the employers of citizen warriors.
