Suffolk County, N.Y. to Advance Incident Prevention and Response Efforts

The Suffolk County (New York) Police Department (SCPD) will deploy Intergraph incident management and mobile dispatch software to empower call takers, dispatchers and field personnel with actionable information in their emergency response efforts.

SCPD will join responders with the Suffolk County Department of Fire, Rescue and Emergency Services (DFRES) in utilizing Intergraph public safety and security incident management software to prevent and respond to incidents while serving the county's 1.5 million residents. The Intergraph public safety and security software will promote regional interoperability and information sharing between the two agencies and others in Suffolk County to reduce crime, save lives and protect property through effective and efficient incident prevention and response.

The Suffolk County DFRES has utilized Intergraph incident management software since 2005. Both agencies will also implement Intergraph's business intelligence solution to empower personnel to leverage incident data for strategic decision making associated with agency resource management and analysis.

"Intergraph public safety and security software is trusted by governments and businesses around the world to integrate and analyze vast amounts of data to create, display and distribute actionable information," said Jeff Robertson, vice president, Intergraph, United States Public Safety. "With the selection of Intergraph's incident management software, SCPD personnel join emergency responders throughout the populous Northeast corridor, the U.S. and worldwide in relying on Intergraph's incident management software to facilitate multi-agency and multi-jurisdictional information sharing and analysis for improved emergency response."
