SIA Unveils 2011’s Security Week

As promised, ISC Solutions 2010 delivered a solutions-based event. Exhibitors were grouped together by three sections: access control, public safety, perimeter protection and detection along with video surveillance. And in the center of it all was the Central Networking Hub serving as a resource center and theater space.

This year, ISC Solutions also introduces ISC Matchmaking, a professional networking tool that allows attendees to search for other attendees, send messages to them and book appointments. Also, for smartphone users, ISC Mobile allows attendees to navigate the show floor, keep track of appointments and find exhibitors.

Near the end of the first day of the event Wednesday, SIA held a reception with food and drinks to announce news at ISC Solutions 2011. Next year, Securing New Ground, Security 500, ISC Solutions and the Tri-Association Awards Dinner will combine to form “Security Week” in New York City during the first week of November.

Security Week will begin on Nov. 1, 2011, with Security New Ground, a conference that brings together executives, investors and end users. Security 500 is an executive management event for CSOs of the 500 largest organizations in North America. The conference focuses on managing and measuring the value of the security function within organizations.

“By bringing the two events together, not only do we save a lot of travel time, but we think it will create enough value proposition to make it important for all of you to be here, said Sandra Jones, principal consultant at Sandra Jones and Co., the conference founder. “ ISC Solutions is really about building your businesses, growing your businesses and being successful. So is Securing New Ground. Together, we’ll be adding more and more opportunities to make your businesses grow.”
