Traffic is Horrible

It was almost time to leave Centro Banamex when Kevin O'Grady and I arrive to the tradeshow. There is some place on earth that has worse traffic than Atlanta - Mexico City.

For a city of at least 25 million people, one person per car should be outlawed. The infrastructure for automobiles here is horrible, and swerving through traffic is death defying. I've never been as close to the front bumper of an 18-wheeler than I was yesterday morning.

Two hours later, we're at the tradeshow hall.

Expo de Seguridad is an interesting show. It is by no means the largest tradeshow held at Banamex, so local authorities are not obliged to monitor traffic patterns, nor do they care. In speaking with a tradeshow committee member, Banamex is the only venue large enough in the city to accommodate their needs. Guadalajara might be a better city to stage this annual event.

Day two of the Expo seems to have been a whopping success. The show hall was packed and exhibitors seemed to be busy all day long, or at least from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Looking forward to another day today. It is the final day, but I wanted to report a successful dinner engagement last night with Louroe staff at La Hacienda. Who knew you had to wear a jacket for Mexican food.
