Border Wall Prototypes Stand Tall in San Diego

Construction crews broke ground two weeks ago to build eight prototypes for the Trump Administration's Border Wall.

Federal contractors are building eight prototypes of President Trump's border wall on the border of California and Mexico, a huge step forward for one of Trump's campaign promises to the American people.

Construction in San Diego began three months behind scheduled after the U.S. Border Patrol opened the design and structure of the wall up to citizens looking for the eight best ideas. Several people, who's wall proposals didn't win, protests delaying the start of construction.

Each prototype will be up to 30 feet tall and 30 feet long. Bidding documents say for of the prototypes are to be solid concrete and four are to be made of "other materials."

With one week until the deadline, it seems that several of the eight prototypes are up and ready to be inspected. Trump has said he will pick the final design for the final Border Wall, but funding has not been approved by Congress yet.
