Suprema Debuts AI Biometrics at ISC West 2026

New facial authentication terminals and cloud platforms aim to modernize access control for the North American market.

Suprema is showcasing its latest AI-powered security solutions this week at ISC West 2026, focusing on touchless authentication and flexible deployment models for commercial and critical infrastructure.

The company is providing a preview of the BioStation 3 Max, a premium biometric terminal scheduled for release in the first half of the year. Designed for high-security environments and corporate lobbies, the device features AI-based facial recognition alongside multi-factor authentication options, including fingerprints, mobile access, and QR codes. The unit also functions as a VoIP intercom, allowing two-way communication between visitors and security staff.

In addition to hardware, Suprema is introducing Q-Finder, a solution designed to identify unauthorized individuals or persons of interest by integrating AI facial authentication with existing CCTV systems. The software uses a Geographic Information System (GIS) to map a subject's movement path in real time, intended for use in retail environments, casinos, and public safety applications.

The company is also highlighting two distinct management platforms: BioStar X and BioStar Air. BioStar X serves as an on-premise security platform that consolidates access control and video surveillance. BioStar Air is a cloud-native alternative that connects biometric readers directly to the cloud via Ethernet, removing the need for local servers and reducing installation complexity.

To support existing infrastructures, Suprema demonstrated integrations with several major security providers, including Genetec, Software House, AMAG, and Brivo.

"By combining advanced AI facial authentication with both on-premise and cloud-native platforms, we are giving security professionals the flexibility to modernize their systems on their own terms," said Bob McKee, president of Suprema America.
