Middle East Infrastructure Facility Invests in Portable X-Ray Systems

Large-scale scanning technology provides rapid material discrimination and high-resolution imaging for critical site security.

A critical national infrastructure entity in the Middle East has expanded its security capabilities with the purchase of additional ThreatScan-LSC portable X-ray systems.

The 3DX-RAY ThreatScan-LSC is a mobile inspection solution designed for rapid deployment in high-stakes environments. The system includes a tablet interface, a portable X-ray generator, and two distinct panels: the large-format LS1 and the compact LS3. This configuration allows operators to switch between scanning large objects and accessing tight, confined spaces.

The technology produces sub-millimeter resolution images in real time. Using advanced materials discrimination and image processing software, the system assists security personnel in identifying organic and inorganic substances, facilitating faster decision-making during suspect package investigations.

Beyond infrastructure protection, the ThreatScan range is utilized at military bases, transit hubs, airports, and stadiums. It is commonly deployed by first responders, police, and private security teams for general bag inspection and technical surveillance counter-measures.
