Brivo Joins Secure Building Council to Advance Safety Standards

Cloud security provider Brivo partners with the Secure Building Council as founder Steve Van Till joins the advisory board.

Cloud physical security provider Brivo has joined the Secure Building Council to help establish global standards for safer, more resilient facilities.

As part of the initiative, Brivo Founder and President Steve Van Till has taken a seat on the non-profit organization's advisory board.

The Secure Building Council created the SHIELD Certification, an artificial intelligence-driven program designed to evaluate building safety. The system assesses security design, technology deployment, daily operations, regulatory compliance and liability risks to guide architects and property owners.

The council aims to establish an outcome-based security benchmark comparable to environmental building certifications, establishing standardized metrics for building safety worldwide.
