Security Industry Association Opens Applications for Three 2026 Scholarships

Funding programs offer financial assistance for young professionals, military veterans and career advancement in the security sector.

The Security Industry Association is accepting applications for three scholarship programs aimed at supporting professional development and educational advancement in the security industry.

The offerings include the SIA RISE Scholarship, the SIA Veterans in Security Scholarship and the Women in Security Forum Scholarship.

The RISE Scholarship awards $3,000 to young professionals, students and individuals new to the security sector. Funds may be applied toward continuing education, professional development programs, training certifications or student loan repayment. Applicants must be SIA student members or employees of SIA member companies.

New this year, the Veterans in Security Scholarship provides awards of up to $5,000 for U.S. military veterans and active-duty service members transitioning into private-sector security roles. The funding supports higher education degrees, vocational certificate programs, professional learning and student loan repayment.

The Women in Security Forum Scholarship awards $7,500 per recipient to foster educational opportunities and career development across the industry. The program is open to all SIA members and student members, with funds applicable to degree programs, professional certifications and conference attendance.

Applications for all three programs must be submitted by Sept. 11.
