Ambient AI Launches Automated Physical Security and Investigation Tools

New software updates aim to streamline video monitoring, speed up incident investigations and lower server hardware costs.

A physical security software company announced software capabilities designed to automate video monitoring and speed up post-incident investigations.

The software platform updates add automated intelligence to video wall monitoring and incident case management, while also increasing the number of video feeds supported on existing hardware.

The update includes continuous video monitoring tools that scan active camera feeds simultaneously. The system evaluates real-time events, surfaces high-priority video clips to operators once per minute and generates plain-language text summaries of the activity shown on screen.

For investigations, the platform integrates video search features with a case management workflow. Operators can search video archives using plain-language descriptions to locate individuals or vehicles across multiple cameras. Search results within a five-minute window are automatically grouped, allowing users to compile clips into a unified incident report with computer-generated event narratives and searchable audit trails.

The release also optimizes background compute efficiency. According to technical specifications released by the developer, the updated system doubles the number of camera streams supported on a single edge hardware unit, allowing organizations to monitor more cameras without purchasing additional server appliances.
