A GSX Ritual

Attending ASIS International’s GSX in Atlanta marks a 30-year ritual of discovering emerging security technologies, reconnecting with industry peers and seeing live solution demonstrations.

There is something special about attending GSX, the annual security gathering presented by ASIS International. This year, the industry comes together in Atlanta, Sept. 13-16, and I am especially looking forward to being there for my 30th ASIS/GSX tradeshow.

Thirty shows is a milestone that brings back a lot of memories. Over the years, each GSX has become more than simply another tradeshow on the calendar—it has become a true ritual. It is an opportunity to reconnect with longtime friends and colleagues, meet new people and, most importantly, rub shoulders with some of the best of the best in the security industry.

This year’s show promises to be no different. The industry’s leading manufacturers will be on hand showcasing their newest products, technologies and security solutions. Just as important, attendees will have the opportunity to see those solutions in action through demonstrations and discussions with the experts who developed them.

After 30 shows, I still find myself excited to walk onto the show floor and see what is new. Security technology continues to evolve, and GSX remains one of the best places to witness that evolution firsthand.

I look forward to seeing old friends, meeting new ones and experiencing another GSX ritual.
