Verkada Brings Fleet Monitoring, Audio, AI Into Command

Three vehicle-camera models and cloud-managed audio accompany a read-only connection to approved AI services.

At its VerkadaOne customer conference in Miami, Verkada announced additions for vehicle monitoring, facility audio and connections between its Command platform and external AI services.

Catalyst uses Model Context Protocol to connect Command with approved services including Claude, ChatGPT and Gemini. The integration will initially operate in read-only mode and support natural-language creation of reports and workflows.

Verkada Transportation brings vehicle video and diagnostic information into Command. The product line includes three ruggedized camera models and a gateway supporting 5G and Wi-Fi. Teams can search recordings using location, driving activity or vehicle-health data.

The Sound Systems offering provides cloud-based management of background music, announcements and automated deterrence. It can connect existing audio equipment to Command or operate through new Power over Ethernet speakers.
