Sentry AI Deploys 100th SolarGuard Security Unit
Solar-powered security trailers combine video analytics with remote monitoring for construction sites.

Construction site security provider Sentry AI has deployed its 100th SolarGuard mobile security unit as it expands the use of remote monitoring at construction projects nationwide.
The mobile trailers use solar-powered hardware, cloud-based artificial intelligence and a 24-hour security operations center to monitor sites without wired internet or on-site power. The system is designed to detect unauthorized activity and possible intrusions.
Remote security personnel review alerts based on each site’s security plan and determine whether further action is needed. Responses may include contacting law enforcement when appropriate.
According to Sentry AI, its personnel respond to an average of four suspicious events per construction site each week. The company also said its deployments have reduced theft and other security incidents.
Construction sites are frequent targets for theft involving copper, equipment and other materials. Mobile surveillance units offer an alternative to on-site guards for construction projects where security needs change as work progresses.
