Leidos' new artificial intelligence capability helps federal cybersecurity teams assess alerts and decide which threats need attention, while organizations control how much authority the system has.
Called UpHold Effect Agentic SOC Automation, the tool uses AI agents around the clock to examine alerts, collect supporting information and prepare assessments for human review, according to the company.
Customers can restrict the system to investigative work or allow it to suggest responses or carry out authorized actions. These permissions can be configured to reflect an organization’s operational needs and oversight policies.
The capability also documents the information it examines, the conclusions it reaches and any responses it proposes or performs.
Leidos said the tool can connect with security systems already in use. Its implementation is tailored to each customer’s technology and governance requirements.
The automation capability is part of UpHold Effect, which also encompasses cloud protection, threat hunting and cyber deception.
