DVTel Inc., provider of intelligent security solutions over IP networks, recently announced that the Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission has selected the DVTel intelligent Security Operations Center as the command and control software for an advanced, highly integrated surveillance and detection system to provide early warning for the protection of the commission’s extensive assets.
Nestled in a valley with rural surroundings, the Onondaga Central School District is located in picturesque upstate New York, just seven miles outside of Syracuse. Proponents of video analytics claim the technology can boost the productivity of security staff by alerting them to take action in the event an incident occurs according to predetermined rules. In theory, this enables fewer officers to oversee larger coverage areas by freeing them from perpetually watching an increasing number of video displays and make intelligent response decisions when security violations occur. And for many indoor surveillance applications, this is often the case.
