With the support of multiple new members, ONVIF now accelerates its efforts towards an open global standard for the interface of network video products. Several working groups were recently established with focus on conformance tools and the next version of the specification.
IMS Research has cut its video surveillance growth forecasts from those made in November. Market conditions are expected to be significantly tougher in the UK, Germany, Japan and the United States than previously forecast.
