Honeywell Announces Compatibility with Savant Systems Home Automation Equipment

Honeywell’s VISTA home security panels are now compatible with home automation systems from Savant Systems, LLC, giving installers more options for creating Honeywell Announces Compatibility with Savant Systems Home Automation Equipmentconnected home solutions.

In addition to enhanced security functions, combining VISTA with Savant’s suite of Apple-based technologies allows installers – such as security dealers and custom electronics professionals – to increase the value of their sales by offering automation and multi-zone audio and video products.

“Home automation is increasingly becoming an expectation for security customers, but homeowners aren’t interested in replacing reliable security systems they’ve had for years just to obtain it,” said Alan Stoddard, senior marketing director, Honeywell Security Products Americas. “This combined offering allows them to incorporate the latest in home automation alongside a proven system that keeps them safe.”

Savant Systems equipment is supported with the following residential and commercial VISTA panels: VISTA-15P, 20P, 21iP, 128BPT, 250BPT and equivalent models sold by First Alert Professional dealers. All Honeywell equipment, including the 4232CBM interface module, is available through ADI. Savant equipment is available through authorized Savant integrators.

“Many homeowners may feel forced to choose between personal protection and comfort when it comes to home automation and security,” said Bob Ross, director of business development, Savant. “Combining Honeywell’s VISTA panels with Savant’s control systems means customers no longer feel like they have to choose, and can enjoy a streamlined, secure system.”
