Mission 500 Unites Security Industry Non-Profits at the 2024 Women in Security & Ally Gala

Mission 500, the security industry’s nonprofit charity dedicated to supporting children in need across the US, Canada, and Puerto Rico, spearheaded a collaboration of major security industry charities at the 2024 Women in Security & Ally Gala. Taking place on September 21, 2024 ahead of the Global Security Exchange (GSX), this event brought together Mission 500, Moms in Security Global Outreach (MISGO), and Aiding Security Professionals in Need (ASPIN) to support the Global Women in Security Alliance. This unprecedented collaboration showcases the unified efforts of these three influential non-profits to champion both women in security and broader community-focused causes.

Mission 500 is dedicated to supporting children and families in need across the US, Canada, and Puerto Rico while inspiring corporate social responsibility within the security sector. At the 2024 Women in Security Gala, Mission 500 hosted its first ever mentor silent auction, offering attendees the chance to bid on one-hour mentoring sessions with top industry leaders. Mission 500 representatives are proud to report that their mentor silent auction raised $2,875 with all proceeds going toward Mission 500 and its beneficiaries.

As a proud sponsor of this year’s Women in Security Gala, Mission 500 invited members of MISGO and ASPIN to unite in support of the Global Women in Security Alliance as guests at the Mission 500 table. Proceeds from the Gala will fund the Alliance’s year-round programming. The Gala’s raffle proceeds will also benefit the Paving the Way Foundation, an organization dedicated to combating child trafficking and exploitation in Central Florida through education and awareness programs.

“We are incredibly proud to sponsor the Gala and to be a part of an event that helps organizations reach their corporate social responsibility goals,” said Janet Fenner, Co-Chair of Mission 500. “We’ve also invited MISGO and ASPIN to join us in supporting this important cause. By coming together, we’re able to amplify our efforts and make a bigger impact—not just in the industry, but also by tackling important social issues that affect our communities.”

For those who were unable to attend the Women in Security Gala, Mission 500 encourages interested individuals and organizations to get involved by participating in or sponsoring the upcoming Mission 500 Golf Outing. Held on October 21, 2024 at the Metuchen Golf & Country Club in Edison, NJ, the Mission 500 Golf Outing promises security professionals a great day of golfing, networking, and helping children in need.
