Axis Communications recently introduced at IFSEC an outdoor-ready, high-performance PTZ dome camera designed for easy and reliable installation in demanding surveillance applications.
The first day on the IFSEC floor has apparently been disappointing for some exhibitors. Since I’ve never been here before, I’m not sure how crowded it should look and the only thing I have to judge by is the traffic from ISC West. It didn’t seem all that crowded.

Axis Communications recently announced that Tampa Bay Downs Inc. has installed its video encoders, enabling the track to exceed new state regulations for recording surveillance video at gaming facilities in a cost effective manner.
Munich Airport, officially named Franz Josef Strauss Airport, is located 28 kilometers northeast of Munich, Germany. Munich Airport is the second busiest airport in Germany in terms of passenger traffic (34.5 million in 2008), after Frankfurt International Airport.
IP-based video surveillance has grown at a pace of 30 to 40 percent annually over the last few years. Analog video has shown significantly lower growth rates—thus, the technological shift from analog to digital surveillance is now in full swing.
