When you think of the most trusted and well respected consumer brands, names like Pampers, Tide, Always, Gillette, Bounty, Charmin, Downy, IAMS and Crest quickly come to mind. As the parent company for these and other brands, Procter & Gamble sets the standard for excellence in numerous areas. Much of what P&G does behind the scenes reflects its commitment to excellence as well.

By all accounts, ISC West was extremely successful. The first two days, as already mentioned in the previous reports, were busy and fruitful. There may have been fewer attendees, but my thoughts were fewer pen collectors and more interested participants.

Of course the economy raised some concerns about attendance at ISC West this year. I’m not sure where attendance figures stand, but there seems to be lots of security people here in Las Vegas, all serious about new products and technology.

Rumor has it that tradeshow officials expected fewer people this year. My very unofficial count says that there are more people at this year’s event. If not more, the aisles are surely crowded and the people attending have a keen interest in being here. Seems to me that attendance is up over last year and the tradeshow is a success. That’s day one in the books and, it will be interesting to see if the crowds are as heavy Thursday.
