G4S Announces Acquisition Of NSSC

G4S Secure Solutions USA enters the chemical and petrochemical arena with the acquisition of Nuclear Security Services Corp. (NSSC), a risk consulting and security solutions firm specializing in corporate and critical infrastructure applications.

NSSC provides evaluation and assessment, security design and engineering, installation and testing of security systems throughout the world, and supplies a wide range of equipment and system options to further enhance G4S's core mission.

NSSC's key markets are in the nuclear power generation and government sectors, with recent expansion into the chemical and petrochemical arena.

NSSC provides clients with integrated solutions that include technology, products, engineering and design. NSSC's security technology solutions include Perifeld-M, a perimeter alarm system; Video Capture System, a video alarm assessment technology; NSMART access control and alarm monitoring system; Advanced Video Sentry System (AVSS), integrating thermal and CCD cameras; and Advanced Detection, Assessment And Neutralization System (ADNS), including a Remotely Operated Weapon System (ROWS) able to detect, assess and neutralize a threat from a safe environment.

Other acquisitions include Touchcom Inc., developer of visitor management, work flow management, elevator management and facility concierge software; Adesta, a systems integrator specializing in sophisticated video surveillance, perimeter protection and related systems; and AMAG Technology, offering access control, visitor management, smart card and related software-driven applications.
